It is satisfying to set a table for dinner that looks homey, especially with the element of placemats. Clearing the table becomes an easier task, less crumbs and wiping necessary. Now my dilemma is, which kind of placemats to use? I've used cloth that look soft and snug, but need to be washed and ironed. Then the bamboo is the one we use the most, colourful and easy to wipe, but who knows what is trapped between those reeds? Then I've considered plastic, but they take time to dry and just aren't as attractive.
So here I remain wondering.
