The Most Important Thing that I did Today...

was build an airplane out of Tinkertoys with my son, who just turned four this week. 

The sweetest, most handsome, delightful, fun, loving boy that I know.  I adore you, Myles!!

Snowy Run

Our snowfalls have been fairly short-lived this year.  The snow falls and then the very same day the rain washes it away.  On this particular day, it was raining at our house and snowing up the hill at Myles' preschool, so I took advantage and went for a run to enjoy it with my pocket camera.

No better way to end a snowy run,

Than warming up afterwards with some favourite and very delicious warm drinks.

Night Walk

I just read recently about taking a night walk with your children before bed...

It was a beautiful, clear night.

And believe me, once they got back home, the kids were asleep in no time.

Eagle Days

I don't know if it's just my noticing or if the eagle population is actually growing significantly.  It seems that we are spotting eagles almost everytime we venture onto the dike near our house, and we've discovered more nests at Pt. Roberts as well.  Many of the photos here were taken with our small camera that I take with me on my runs.  Hope you enjoy these eagle shots:

Back from our New Year's ski trip!

There's nothing better.  Snow,

play,

skiing,

eating,

fun with friends (yes the kids were jumping into the snow from the hot tub),

and discovering a beautiful little Bavarian village, Leavenworth, Washington,

complete with a sled hill in the middle.

A perfect winter get-away.

Here's to 2011!!  My word for the year is:  "give".
